Senior Product Designer
N26
Role description
About the opportunity We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join N26's UX team in our Grow and Engage domain. There are a couple of areas within the domain where we're adding design strength, and we'll match you to the right one based on your background and what you're drawn to. In this role, you'll lead end-to-end design for some of the most consequential parts of the N26 experience: how millions of customers discover, use, and get the most out of their account, day after day. You'll report to our Head of UX, and work in a tight cross-functional team of product, engineering, research, and data partners. We believe our team's diversity is our strength. The more perspectives at the table, the better. Please apply regardless of your identity, experience, or background. About the work The Grow and Engage domain is where we shape how customers get genuine, lasting value from N26. It covers a broad slice of the core product — the moments that bring customers back to their day-to-day banking, the features that build habits and surface real value, and the way our paid tiers turn into something subscribers actively feel. The work spans the home screen, in-app discovery, recommendations and AI-powered insights, the cross-cutting patterns that pull the whole product together, and our Smart, Go, and Metal subscription tiers — where the opportunity is to weave value through the product rather than bolt it on. You'll have meaningful scope to shape both how we package what we have today and what comes next. You'll be designing for a fintech product used by millions, in a category where customers' expectations have been shaped by some of the best digital products in the world. The bar is high, and the work matters. What you'll do - Own end-to-end design for important workstreams within your segment, from problem framing through research, exploration, and shipped work. - Bring a high bar for craft — UI and interaction design that delights customers and converts. - Frame design problems sharply: define user needs, success criteria, constraints, and tradeoffs before jumping into solutions. - Move between projects as priorities evolve, knowing when to go deep and when to pivot based on what you're learning. - Lift the craft and rigour of designers around you — through critique, mentorship, and the standard you set in your own work. - Drive consistency across your segment — contributing to and improving our design system, and creating patterns the rest of the team can build on. - Be data-informed: Collaborate on research that blends qualitative and quantitative methods, and proactively seek out the data you need when it isn't on the table. - Partner closely with product, engineering, research, and data to ship work that actually lands — and to take it further once it's live. - Use AI tools fluently as part of your design practice — for exploration, prototyping, synthesis, and to accelerate the parts of the work that benefit from acceleration. What we're looking for - You raise the bar through your own work. The standard you set in what you ship is the most powerful tool you have for lifting the team around you, and you treat it that way. - You think in systems. You see the connections between siloed parts of a product, and you design for the experience as a whole — not just the screen in front of you. - You understand problems before you solve them. You're rigorous about understanding the real problem, the real user, and the real constraints before committing to a direction. - You ship. You move fast, prototype to learn, and resist the pull of polishing in isolation. You'd rather get something in front of users this week than perfect it for a month. - You're comfortable with AI in your practice. You're curious about how AI is reshaping design and product, and you actively use AI tools to extend what you can do. - You bring others with you. You give sharp, useful feedback that lifts the team's thinking — not just the pixels. You're a good fit if you have <...
